Essie Gel Nail Color is a long wearing gel formula in 60 unique, chic shades chosen for their timeless beauty, universal appeal and supreme style savvy. Cures in 30 seconds. Part of the Essie LED cured Gel Color system (base coat + color coat + top coat). Must be used with Essie Gel Color Base Coat & Top Coat. Essie introduces its first professional LED Gel System, which features dozens of new shades similar to the brands most time-honored, popular polishes. Aiming to leave nails in good condition even after removal, a keratin-care technology is utilized in each step, and the formula contains pro-vitamins B5 and E for fortification and hydration. Essie Gel lasts up to 14 days.

Procedure:

  1. Shape and clean the nails, gently pushing back, rather than cutting, the cuticles. Using Essies Prep & Finish Nail Cleanser and a lint-free nail pad, completely remove nail dust and oils, making sure to clean under the nail edge and around the cuticles as well.
  2. Shake the bottle of Essie Gel Base Coat and apply one thin, even coat, avoiding the cuticles. Cap and seal the free edge and cure for 30 seconds using Essies LED Lamp. Ensure that the clients fingertips are on the pre-determined recesses inside the lamp to cure all five nails properly. The lamp starts automatically once fingers are in place.
  3. Apply one thin coat of Essie Gel Color. Apply the first stroke down the middle and then apply one stroke on each side for full coverage. Cap and seal the free edge and use an orangewood stick to remove excess from around the cuticles. Cure for 30 seconds. Apply a second coat, following the same steps.
  4. Apply one thin coat of Essie Gel Top Coat. Cap and seal the free edge and cure for 60 seconds. To remove gel residue, saturate a lint-free nail pad in Prep & Finish Nail Cleanser and wipe. Hydrate the skin around the nail with apricot cuticle oil.
  5. To remove, first lightly buff the shine. Thoroughly saturate an absorbent pad with Essie Gel Polish Remover and place it on the nail. Wrap the nail in aluminum foil and let it soak for 15 minutes. Gently massage the foil at the top of the nail and pull it away from the nail. When the gel has lifted from the nail, carefully remove any gel excess with an orangewood stick. If the gel is still adhered to the nail, re-wrap it for another five minutes. Rub the nail with a lint-free nail pad soaked in gel-polish remover to remove any residue. Lightly buff the nails as needed.
