Color Cream Tint Instructions

For Use By Professional Estheticians and Cosmetologists Only

Note: As with any hair tint product, be sure to wear light plastic or latex gloves when mixing the color to prevent stains if the color or developer accidentally gets on your skin.

Mix 3/4 inch of Color Cream with 2-4 drops of the Developer solution until the consistency is a creamy paste. (Make sure consistency is not runny or drippy.) Note: Temperature fluctuation can cause settlement of developer solution, but this has no negative effect on the quality of the product. Shake well before using. Store in a cool place. Let set for at least 3 minutes while you prepare the client.

Client must be sitting in a chair with head held comfortably. DO NOT APPLY WITH HEAD OR BODY LAID BACK IN A PRONE POSITION.
Cleanse areas to be treated thoroughly. Eyebrows and/or eyelashes should be free of oil and other materials.
Apply petroleum jelly under the eyebrows/eyelashes. Place a protection pad underneath the eyebrow/eyelashes to be treated to prevent the tint from staining the skin. (The petroleum jelly will prevent the pad from moving.)
Using a tint brush or a birchwood stick, apply the cream tint to the eyebrow/ eyelashes. Make sure the tint covers each hair in the eyelashes/eyebrows all the way to the corners of the eyes from the base to the tip. When all areas to be tinted are completed, instruct the client to sit quietly and relax until the development and excess removal processes are completed.

DO NOT ALLOW THE CREAM OR DEVELOPER TO GET IN THE EYES, NOSTRILS, OR EARS. IF THIS HAPPENS, IMMEDIATELY FLUSH WITH WARM WATER AND DRY THE AREA.
Make sure the eyelashes/eyebrows are completely covered.
Use a cotton swab damped with Tint Spot Cleanser to remove any excess from the skin. (Note: The tint spot cleanser should only be used on a Q-Tip, and not "poured" onto the skin. The spot cleanser itself will, just like any makeup remover, cause irritation if gotten into the eye or surrounding wet tissue.)
Tints develop after 10 minutes maximum. Let test color develop for 3 minutes. If hair is not dark enough, re-apply.
Remove protection pads from underneath the eyebrows/eyelashes.
Use a cotton ball dampened with warm water to remove product until no residue is visible. Use tissues to capture any diluted dripping or excess.
