This product contains ingredients that may cause skin irritation on certain individuals and a preliminary test according to accompanying directions should first be made. Using a 50/50 ratio, mix the tint with developer and place 2 small on the inner arm, just above the elbow. 2 minutes, then gently wipe off with a dry cloth. Wait 24-48 hours. If no or inflammation is apparent, it is usually assumed that no hypersensitivity to the product exists. The test must be carried out before each application. If there is any redness or irritation, DO NOT OFFER THE TREATMENT TO THE CUSTOMER, AND PUT IN YOUR RECORDS AS BEING SENSITIVE AND NOT ALLOWED TO RECEIVE IT.

  1. Note: As with any hair tint product, be sure to wear light plastic or latex gloves when mixing the color to prevent stains if the color or developer accidentally gets on your skin. If you get tint on your hands while mixing, use a cotton ball dampened with Tint Spot Cleanser to remove the tint. Wash your hands with soap and water immediately.
  2. Using a 50/50 ratio, mix 3/4 inch of hair tint with hair tint developer solution and stir until consistency is a creamy paste. (Make sure consistency is not runny or drippy) Note: Temperature fluctuation can cause settlement of developer solution, but this will not affect the quality of the product. Shake well before using. Store in a cool place. Note: The color of the mixture is not the color that the hair will be once it is tinted.
  3. Let set for at least 3 minutes while you prepare your client
  1. Client must be sitting upright in a chair with head slightly tilted back. DO NOT APPLY WITH HEAD OR BODY IN A FULLY RECLINED POSITION.
  2. Cleanse areas to be treated thoroughly with oil free cleanser. Eyebrows and/or eyelashes should be free of oil and makeup.
  3. When applying to lashes, place under-eye protection pads under the lower lid to prevent the tint from staining the skin.
  4. Using a tint brush, apply cream tint to lower lashes first. Make sure tint covers the hair from base to tip as well as in the corners.
  5. Instruct clients to close their eyes. Apply tint to upper lashes from base to tip. Make sure corner lashes are covered. When the tinting is completed, instruct the client to sit and relax until the application and removal processes are completed.
  6. When applying tint to eyebrows, make sure all brow hair is completely covered.
  7. Developing time will differ depending on temperature fluctuation, on the texture and coarseness of the client's hair, and its original color. Although the normal time for developing is 10 minutes for lashes and 3 minutes for brows, these times may produce results darker than expected. If you are working with Medium Brown, Dark Brown, or Graphite, we recommend that you allow eyelashes to develop for 3 minutes and the eyebrows to develop for one and one-half minutes. Then rinse them check the color. If the eyelashes and/or eyebrows are not dark enough, re-apply and allow them to process again until the desired color is achieved.
  8. Use a cotton swab dampened with soap and water to remove any tint from the skin. DO NOT ALLOW THE TINT OR DEVELOPER TO GET IN THE EYES NOSTRILS, OR EARS. IF THIS HAPPENS FLUSH WITH WARM WATER AND DRY THE AREA.
  9. Remove protection pads from underneath the eyes.
  10. With the client's eye closed, use a dampened cotton pad with warm water to remove product until no residue is visible. Use tissues to capture any excess.
Note: If you get tint on your hands while mixing, use a cotton ball dampened with Tint Spot Cleanser to remove the tint. Wash your hands with soap and water immediately. Do not use the Spot Cleanser on the face. Use soap and warm water to remove any tint on the face.
