— 90 Minute Treatment

Our Intensive Age Defying Hydrating Body Treatment has been created to stimulate cell renewal and regenerate the skin providing long lasting results that counteract the signs of aging. Our body treatment incorporates a dry brushing technique as well as Lactic Acid followed by nourishing vitamins and anti-oxidants for intense hydration, improved cellular metabolism and strengthening of skins defense mechanisms. The body emerges restored and revitalized.

Length of Treatment: 90 Minutes

Preparation:

  • Prepare warm towels with a mist of June Jacobs Aroma Mineral Mist
  • To dry brush, use a soft natural fiber brush with a long handle or with a removable head with a strap for your hand.

Exfoliate
  1. Use 3 teaspoons of June Jacobs Lactic Acid 30% Pro Peel with Pomegranate Extract.
  2. Apply Peel to body with a large fan brush.
  3. Leave acid on for 10 minutes.
  4. Remove with a warm towel.
  5. Allow this time for scalp massage.

Masque
  1. Apply a thin layer of June Jacobs Intensive Age Defying Hydrating Masque to the entire body with hands.
  2. Wrap client in plastic sheet or Mylar.
  3. Heated blanket optional.

Remove Masque
  1. Masque may either be removed by the technician using hot towels or the technician may assist the client to the shower.
  2. Please dry client thoroughly.

HydrateApply June Jacobs Intensive Age Defying Body Emulsion to body with effleurage strokes.

Dry Brushing:

Dry brushing is an excellent way to invigorate and rejuvenate the skin while helping to remove toxins from the body. This technique helps to unclog pores; increasing the skinns ability to absorb nutrients, improves the circulation of blood; resulting in a better metabolic function and stimulates nerve endings; contributing to improved muscle tone. Healthy skin needs to breathee. Rid it regularly of dead skin cells and the body will react by producing new skin cells more rapidly. The skin is left feeling soft and silky smooth.

Dry Brush Technique:

Begin with client lying on back. Do not wet the skin, since it will not have the same effect. Always brush in the direction of the heart. Do circular counter-clockwise strokes. Brush each part of the body several times. After the treatment, the client should then take a warm shower, which should be followed by a cool rinse at the end to stimulate blood circulation.

Contraindications:

Avoid sensitive areas and anywhere the skin is broken such as areas of skin rash, wounds, cuts, and infections. Also, never brush an area affected by poison oak or poison ivy.

Draping

It is very important to be aware of the clientts comfort level.

  • Have the client lay on their back under a large bath towel after undressing.
  • Front of body. Use two hand towels.
    • Lay the first towel on chest area and fold the large bath towel down.
    • Lay the second towel on pelvic area. Fold the large bath towel down and remove. Leaving the second hand towel over the pelvic area. Fold bottom corners over and tuck under each thigh. Similar to a bikini.
    • When finished with front of body massage. Lay large bath towel over body. Remove the two hand towels. Have the client turn over.
    • Back of body. Lay hand towel over Gluteal region. Remove large bath towel. Drape hand towel similar to a bikini.

Prepare for Front of Body Massage

  • To maintain the comfort of the client, see draping instructions.

Front of Legs

  1. Begin with the soles of the feet first, because the nerve endings there affect the entire body.
  2. Brush the bottom of the right foot heel to toe 3 times.
  3. Brush across the right toes on top and underneath 3 times.
  4. Brush back and forth over the top of the right foot from toes to ankle.
  5. Brush up from right ankle to right knee 3 times working on the lower leg, brushing up towards your heart.
  6. Brush from right knee to right hip 3 times.
  7. Repeat on the left side.

Abdomen, Chest and Arms

  1. Brush in a circular motion on the abdomen from the navel outwards, counter-clockwise 3 times then clockwise 3 times.
  2. Brush in lighter strokes over and around the breasts, but do not brush the nipples.
  3. Brush the breastbone in a circular motion to stimulate the thymus gland 3 times.
  4. Brush the left collar bone and bring the brush around to the back of the shoulder to the bottom of the neck 3 times.
  5. Brush across the chest onto right side.
  6. Brush the right collar bone and bring the brush around to the back of the shoulder to the bottom of the neck 3 times.
  7. Brush upward from the right wrist to the elbow 3 times.
  8. Brush upward from the right elbow to your armpit and shoulder 3 times.
  9. Brush the right palm from wrist to fingertips and back 3 times.
  10. Brush the back of the right hand the same way 3 times.
  11. Brush each right hand finger individually back and forth 3 times on the areas that have not been brushed yet.
  12. Repeat steps on the left arm.
  13. Finish brushing the front of the body in any direction starting at the bottom and brushing all the way up 6 times.
  14. Instruct client to turnover.
  15. Be aware of comfort of client.

Prepare for Back of Body Massage

  • To maintain the comfort of the client, see draping instructions.

Back of Legs

  1. Brush up from right ankle to the back of the right knee 3 times working on the lower leg, brushing up towards the heart.
  2. Brush from back of the right knee to right hip 3 times.
  3. Repeat on the left side.

Back

  1. Brush up and down the spine from the base of the neck and down 6 times.
  2. Finish the upper back by stroking it around toward the sides of the body.
  3. Brush the spine from tailbone up 6 times, holding the brush with two hands.
  4. Finish the lower back by stroking it around toward the sides of the body.
  5. Finish brushing the back of the body in any direction starting at the bottom and brushing all the way up 6 times.
