Ear candling, also called ear coning, is a treatment intended to remove earwax (cerumen) and "toxins" from a person's ear by means of a hollow candle placed in the ear. It involves placing one end of a hollow candle in the ear canal and lighting the other end.
Ear candles are an ancient, mild and natural therapy and have been used by the Native Americans for many years. The ear candle has been named after the Native American Hopi tribe. The healing properties of the candle have been known for hundreds of years to the Hopi tribe.
The treatment is gentle and relaxing and is great for relieving compacted ear wax, stress and helps with eliminating snoring and clearing the sinuses.
