To replace: align blades directly over screw holes and replace screws. Adjust top blade 1/32" back from and parallel to the front edge of the bottom blade and tighten screws firmly.

    These are Oster Cryogen-x Blades. The Cryogen-x treatment is a cryogenic tempering process that deep freezes Oster blades to 300 degrees F below zero. The outcome of deep cryogenics is to dramatically increase the steel's durability. To the stylist this means that not only do the new Oster Cryogen-x blades start out sharp, they stay sharper longer, thus requiring less sharpening than conventional blades.
